A sears 5.0 HP, 12 Gal, Wet/dry vacuum for $99 or 2.5 HP, 8
Gal for $70. Is there a better choice?
QUESTION: I am considering a Sears 5.0 HP, 12 Gal, Wet/dry vacuum for $99 or 2.5 HP, 8
Gal for $70. Is there a better choice? Is the size inconvenience and $30
worth investing in the extra 2.5 HP? Thanks for your input. I don't have any
special need, just need a vac in the garage.
ANSWER: We have two shop vacs. and we always go for the smaller of the two
when we need to use one. The bigger one is just two bulky to use
easily. I have the smaller one. Don't like it. It tends to tip over, the wheels
are too small. Wheels fall off when picked up. Top doesn't stay on
properly. Filter is always plugged up, have to blow it out with
compressed air. Be sure you get one with the large hose, the smaller
hoses get plugged up with leaves. I am considering a Sears 5.0 HP, 12 Gal, Wet/dry vacuum for $99 or 2.5 HP, 8
