tried a 5 gallon Genie to keep the wet/dry vac air exhaust
QUESTION: My question -- what are you doing to keep the wet/dry vac air exhaust (usually on top of unit) from also spewing out the fine red rough dust.
I tried a 5 gallon Genie, used super duty paper filter bags and built a
tubular extension on top of the air exhaust. Next I covered the extension
with some cheesecloth just to see. It was dirty red almost immediately.
Methinks the studio would be just as red and dirty. If you have solved
this problem I would love to hear how you did it (I have three polishing
stations now).Any ideas ?
ANSWER: I use gore cleanstream vac filters, look for woodshop supply cos in fine
woodworking magazine. they filter down to .3 microns (HEPA) AND flow
better. A Vacuum cleaner takes a concentrated Dust source and spreads it all over
the place !!! :
The only solution is a central vacuum cleaning system VENTED to the
OUTSIDE, that way it becomes you neighbor's problem!
