Suggestions on Bagless Canister Vacuum Cleaners
QUESTION: I would like a bagless , my 40 year old Electrolux has just about
given up the ghost. But I only have a few small areas that are carpeted
and I don't want an upright. I have been looking at the Dyson but the price
scares me and I'd rather spend 700 on a Kitchenaid Stand Mixer than on a
vacuum cleaner
Any suggestions on bagless canister vacs?
ANSWER: I'm starting to rethink what I wrote. When I bought my Electrolux back in
1977 (my daughter uses it now, I'm using my MIL's which is older still) it
was 350 dollars. It's lasted this long. Maybe spending the money for a
Dyson which will last me another 35 years is not such a bad idea.
You certainly won't regret the stand mixer, I have had a Kenwood for
something like 40 years now, a bit noisy at times but still working
good as new. Check out their ratings first though, I am hearing
there are some problems with KitchenAid these days, but likely you are
reading the same sources I am, as I recall
