experience with "cyclonic" bagless canister vacuum
QUESTION: We're looking around at a few types, various prices and features. I
know Dyson is considered the "top of the line", but Bissell and Hoover
have some competitively priced jobs out there as well. I don't think
it's necessary to spend 500 bucks on a Dyson if one for half the price
will do, but I don't want to buy something I'll wind up replacing in a
couple of years.
Anyone have any experience with "cyclonic" bagless canister vacuum
they'd care to share?
ANSWER: I wouldn't say Dyson are 'top of the line'. They seemed to basically just
appear with a slick design and neat ad campaign, "I wanted to make a vacuum
cleaner that WORKS. So I did!" They're probably good, but the established
high-end names are still Filter Queen and Electrolux.
Take your time and look around. I got an excellent $300 Kenmore vacuum
cleaner for $40 at a flea market.
