BEST VACUM CLEANER does CONSUMER REPORTS state which one is best?
QUESTION: A guy came to my house today, he started at $1600 and by the
time he left, he said he would give us one for $900.
Are they the "best" vacums on the market, they do come with a
scrubber.
Anyone know what comsumer reports thinks is the best scrubber vacum
cleaner?

ANSWER: Look elsewhere On the basis of Consumer Reports' rave review, I bought
the Sharp Twin Energy Big Wheel 12 amp for about $120, and we're thrilled with it.
For $900, The guy should come over to vacuum the house for you.
I though $249 for a Hoover Wind Tunnel was a lot. Made this purchase over
the weekend and carpet looks and feels as good as
new.
I recently purchased the same vac (Wind Tunnel) & thought it was
expensive for a vac. Kept wondering if I should've gone a bit cheaper &
also, have been hearing such good things about the Sharp for $150.
But, I agree, the carpets look wonderful & there is no sign of dust in
the air after vacuuming. So, I guess it is worth the $$, as long as it
doesn't need replacing in 3 years!
Spending money on a vacuum is in the same catagory as car repairs in my
