Bissell 7920 ProTech Pro-Heat with canister vacuum
QUESTION: And, (can you tell I have a chore I'm avoiding?) I want to know whether anyone
owns a steam carpet cleaner and whether you like it or not. I'm looking at the
Bissell 7920 ProTech Pro-Heat with canister vacuum, lays down steam & solution
and sucks it back up again, with attachments for upholstery, all like that.
Have one similar? Like it? Hate it?
ANSWER: Yes, we have the Bissel Proheat Clearvue.
It's just an excellent machine. I've got really bad allergies. I use this
every few months and it's very easy to use. The tank isn't one of those
50 gallon monstrosities. Even with my arthritis, I can handle it just
fine. No worries about mixing the cleaner, either. There's a separate
tank you fill and the machine handles the mix.
The carpets look great and smell even better. Incidentally, you can also
use this machine on sealed tile floors. That's one of the things I'm wondering about. Moronically (and I've been
kicking myself in the ass ever since) I let myself be talked *out* of applying
sealer to the floor tile grout...dumb, dumb, dumb.
I'm prepared to do it now, if I can get the well-used grout in the kitchen and
the unseen by human eyes grout under the throw rugs to look equally clean.
