Question about Broom Vacuum
QUESTION: I bought a small rechargeable "broom vacuum" just for the kids
What brands of cordless broom vacuum work, if any? I want one now that DS
is feeding himself a bit more, because I can't stand stepping on the
crumbs that my regular broom (and sweeping skills, too, I guess) seems
to leave behind. DH thinks they are a waste of time/money.
I hate dragging the heavy upright vac out just to do around the high
chair, but I really, really HATE walking on crumbs. Do you have a
cordless that works for you?I've wanted to ask this question for a while,
but my time online is mostly reading these days.
ANSWER: Definitely worthwhile.CR did a review of them a while back, which
might be worth a look. I don't remember what make and model ours was,
but we got it years ago so that particlar one probably isn't still
available. Ours is no more, but it was our only vacum for quite a while (in apartments) so it saw some very heavy use. I don't fault it for
giving up, I would have too.
One thing ours didn't have but would have been nice, is a detachable
beater so you can get it into smaller areas, like a dust buster. Then
again, if you already have a dust buster, this is probably a non-issue.
Also, the handle on ours was detachable, but I don't think we ever
detached it. We might have if the beater had been removeable.
