QUESTION: e Thunder vacumn. Seems it has the
filter that cost $70 to $80 to replace and you replace it every year
or year and a half. I suppose during that time the pollen, dust, and
whatever other junk is picked up sits there in the filter.
I wonder if any anyone knows anything about the Hoover Windtunnel? If
it is as good as the Thunder I would rather buy it. It's on sale at
K-mart for $249 this week. It has paper filter bags and another
filter on the side. They didn't have any replacement filters so I
don't know what they would cost but surely it wouldn't be much.
I want a vacumn that will pick up all of the dirt so was impressed by
the posts that the Thunder got up dirt the old vacumns had left.
ANSWER: I now own two Sanyo lightweight, highly portable vacuum cleaners, the
second of which I bought in new condition for only $18 Canadian! This
vacuum cleaner outperformed our other large ones and best of all requires
NO bags, makint it a very frugal purchase. We bought our first new Sanyo
on sale for $80 or 90 Canadian. Keeping one upstairs and the other in the
basement, we clean out the canister after use rather than risk
over-filling (even though there is a full canister indicator on top). I
believe the one auctioned was due to the fact the owner did not read the
instructions, as it was jammed full and of course did not collect any dust
etc. We cleaned it out and now have a "new" vacuum.
