Rec For Cannister Vacuum Cleaner?
QUESTION: Does anyone have a recommendation for a cannister vacuum cleaner? Also,
does anyone have a bagless vacuum cleaner? Are they preferable to the
ones with bags? Thanks.
ANSWER: I have a bagless - a Dyson - and I love it. No need to stock up on the bags,
very efficient, and you can clean the filter by washiung it once every few
months.
Oh and as a bonus, it's transparent, so you get the pervert joy of watching
all the dust get sucked in and of seeing how much you actually cleaned
That's what I like about our Dyson. You can feel really good
about how much dirt you've sucked up because there it is, plain to see.
With the old Hoover with cloth outer bag and paper inner bag, you had to
squeeze it to feel how much you'd sucked up. Not as satisfying at all.
Bags can be expensive, but are probably easier to empty. I think both
types work fine so it is personal preference.
I am happy with my Miele vac, uses bags and has nifty features like
places on the vac to park the wand so you don't fall over it. Miele
vacs are not too expensive in UK, mine was half the cost of a Dyson,
but I think they are expensive n US.
My tip, get one with a metal wand. I used a plastic wand vac once and
hated it, the wand bent while trying to vac.
