Central Vac Parts for the regular vacuuming
QUESTION: Shop vac performance with no noise or dust blow-by. I had to buy some central
vac parts (outlets and hose) for the regular vacuuming and lots of Sears
extension hose for the shop and remodeling cleanup. So I was wondering
Does anyone have any suggestions for or against particular brands of
central vacuums? Also, for anyone who did the installation themselves,
any suggestions?
ANSWER: More suction. It has to pull through 40-50 feet of PVC pipe plus
30 feet of flex hose.
I tried parallel but that was no stronger than a single unit. Series
doubled the suction. I install Vac U Maid central systems. If you install a central system get
one that doesn't have the filter bags. The best system, the one I have
had no complaints about, is th P125 by VacUMaid. This system will handle a
house with about 2800 sq. ft. For a dealer near you call 405.762.2457, or
contact me and I will price one for you. I purchased and installed a dual motor HP Vac-U-Flow; and, boy, does
it suck The unit uses cyclone separation - no filter bags. We
vented the exhaust to the outside.
