Locating Fasco Central Vacuum Cleaner Parts?
QUESTION: I need some replacement parts for a Fasco "electric brush" power head
for my central vac system. The Fasco Unit p/n is 862EB (Household Type 828). I think Eureka used to own Fasco, but I'm having trouble finding
Fasco or parts. Anyone know who owns them now?
The pulley end's bearing went dry and burned up, scoring the
shaft pretty bad and the frictional heat melted the plastic pulley's
bore. When it
finally siezed up, the belt wore through pretty quick and broke!
These are Fasco's part numbers from the packing literature
which came with the unit:
49081F "Disturbulator" (whata name) brush roller with 37114 pulley,
25406 bearing assembly (2 of them) , and a 49175 lock nut. (listed as an
assembly)
also, a 36184 drive belt.
Please save bandwidth and don't respond witha "try xxx.com" unless you
know for certain they have what I need, I've already tried a LOT of web
sites who carry "vacuum cleaner parts"
ANSWER: Go to the Fasco web site [www.fasco.com] and download a short booklet
called Fasco Facts. This is a very good source for information on replacing
