Best hand-held cordless vacum?

QUESTION:

I know there is a newsgroup called "alt.home.cleaning" that I should have more appropriately sent this query to, but for some reason my news server doesn't carry it.
My question is this: I need a hand-held cordless vacum (like a Dirt Devil, Dust Buster, etc.) but am vaguely under the impression that none of them work particularly well at all...true or false? Can anyone recommend a brand of this product that really has decent suction? I saw a product at Sears called "Dirt Tamer v2200" which asserts it has 70% more power than its leading competitors...anyone know anything about the Dirt Tamer?
Thanks for any advice!

ANSWER:

We've had 3 of the cordless handhelds and none had really good suction. We recently bought a DirtDevil Ultra corded model and find it's much better. It also has a powered brush. With the corded models they can use a more powerful motor that would run the batteries down awfully fast in the cordless types.
