QUESTION: I saw the dirt devil mop vacuum in the store. I have alot of tile in my
house. The box looks great but does it work? Appreciate all info as I
dont want to throw money around if it is a waste of time. The dirt devil
broom vac is no great item which I already own
ANSWER: Ask yourself if you need to spend $98 on a mop and you will have your
answer. Dirt Devil has a habit of making products that no one needs . I'm in the process of returning mine...
The mop doesn't fully retract so it continues to drip water all over
the floor..we found ourselves going back and forth on the same
spot 3 or 4 times.
Also the mop never gets clean so the floor never really looked
"bright".
The motor is a about the same type/size as a dustbuster...
don't expect it to suck up alot of water without dragging it *very* slow.
The battery is a pain in the butt...you gotta work REALLY
fast if you want to finish a 15ft by 15ft kitchen before
the battery wears completely down. Then the entire mop
is useless until the battery has been charged for 24 hours.
And guess what? You can't order an extra charger or battery. *And* no a/c plug adapter to use instead of a battery.
We found a regular sponge mop and a bucket not only
cleaned much *better*, but it cleaned a room significantly *faster*....
