QUESTION: Can anyone recommend which model of Dyson vacum?
Also the best deal out there fellas..
ANSWER: I've had a DC07 since the end of 2001 and it's been great.
Lifetime filter, no bags and IMHO great customer service.
I imagine this model has been superseeded and AFAIR they are manufactured
abroad now (?)
When I got mine, I took out the 5 year unlimited cover offer for the Dyson
which I got through the door a couple of weeks after purchase (D&G). This
cost me about 50, but it has come in useful as it covers accidental damage
too (not sure if it's still available tho').
In the last year I've had the following replaced FOC (normal price in
brackets):

Clutch Assembly (Price Unknown)

This totals 46.00 for the parts for which the price was known, but the cost
of the other parts would be pretty expensive I reckon (plus an engineer had
to come out to replace the clutch assembly).
I know some may say that these items shouldn't have broken, but the machine
has been used a lot more than average (quite a lot of DIY use)
