Electrolux central vacuum
QUESTION: Does anyone here have an Electrolux central vacuum? If so, what do you like or
dislike about it?
ANSWER: We have one and it is 1.5 years old. So far so good.
- Very flexible hose: one of the most flexible of the fully electric
ones; it also fully rotates at the top, near the assembly (unique, and a
must for longuish hoses).
- Electric outlets avaibable (the Hayden supervalve, seen at
), which means you don't have to plug separately
the 120 V supply power to the electric carpet brush.
- Good electric beater (although it is not used very much here).
- Good floor brush: even though I was skeptical about the combination
floor-carpet brush, it vacuums evenly throughout its width, is well
balanced and is convenient for small carpets.
- Easy to clean filter.
One small inconvenient if you already have a standard set up installed
by your contractor is that it does not have an inlet on the vacuum
itself, contrary to the Beam and the Nutone units. It is fairly easy to
add one close to the vacuum unit if you need it
