Hand-held vacuum cleaners
QUESTION: I'm on the lookout for a cheap hand-held vacuum cleaner to save carrying
the main one upstairs.
I've come across this site http://www.shop-at-ease.net/index.html and
wondered if anyone has dealt with them before or has alternative
suggestions.
ANSWER: There was a thread in here a few weeks back. I ended up getting a mains
powered Black and Decker - 30 in Comet.It has an 800 Watt motor so is
nearly as powerful as my Wet& Dry. Ideal for getting dust out of corners
and it does the stairs nicely (first time I've had to hoover stairs for
about 14 years).
The battery powered ones have very poor usable time, 6 to 8 minutes for
the 99 Dyson!

I'm going to buy one of the bissell lift offs on payday :) 50 for a
reconditioned one seems well fair to me.
