QUESTION: Anyone have a review on Rainbow Vacum .This product is really worth the money. Are
doctors really recommending it for allergy sufferers? Thanks for your
input.
ANSWER: We had a rainbow and liked it. But bought a vacuum with a hepa filter for
my allergies.
The Consumer Reports July '99 issue rates 28 vacuum cleaners.
The Rainbow e-Series [$1400] came out last on the canisters.
According to CR, the Rainbow e-Series "Has a HEPA filter and
ran very clean. But doesn't clean well, wasn't convenient to use,
and is extremely expensive."
"Consumers Reports" reviewed it several years ago. From their
1998 Buying Guide:
"Emissions, inconvenience, and price outweigh its cleaning ability"
IIRC, the emission included the chemicals from the water; e.g.
calcium carbonate.
