Silent-Master central vacuum systems
QUESTION: Anybody have Silent Master Central Vacuum?
If so, are you happy with it?

ANSWER: I'm been doing a lot of research into central
vacuums. From everything I heard from different
dealers and owners is the Silent Master is one of
the better models of central vacs (made by Modern
Day Manufacturing, aka M.D. Manufacturing in CA).
I purchased an Electrolux unit but haven't been
able to use it yet (house isn't finished). The
ratings of the Electrolux (115 CFM, 518 Air
Watts, 124" Sealed suction) are all very
comparable to mid-range models from MD and other
makers. The only difference is I paid $800 for
the power unit, total control hose, electric
power brush and all attachments. Other units I've
priced were between $1,100 and $1,500. Hope that
