QUESTION: My Hoover Supreme upright vacuum took a .......
The on/off switch (not the red one your thumb controls, the one hidden lower in the
arm) fried. It shorted out and melted. The connectors coming out of the switch easily
broke off when I wiggled them.
I looked for parts on the internet but could only find replacement hoses, bags, tubes,
etc., etc. Nothing as technical as an on/off switch.
Does anyone know if there is such a place? Hoover's site didn't seem to have it either.
ANSWER: Take the switch to radio shack, they may have a replacement.
or to a local vacuum cleaner repair shop.
or, try www.sears.com click on parts enter your model number.
they have just about evey thing you could ever want there... I'd suggest you try a local vacuum shop. Most are treasure troves of
oddball parts
