QUESTION: I am 74 years old, and began having ED problems about the time Viagra hit
the market. I've used it successfully until just recently. I read about
vacuum pumps in this NG, and decided to try one. I ordered a set of "cock
rings" from Rejoyn, and being mechanically inclined, kludged a cylinder
from a plastic bottle, attached a 1/4 inch hose from it to a manually
operated vacuum pump I bought years ago to test automotive vacuum systems,
and it worked.
The pump had a vacuum gage calibrated to read zero at atmospheric pressure.
The required vacuum seemed to be between 5 and 8 inches of mercury. This
didn't seem to be so much--I disconnected the hose from the pump, put in my
mouth, and sucked. My penis came right up.
My question to the group is this: Has anyone else used this simple
technique? Is there any argument against it? (Well, it sounds a little
kinky, but other than that)
ANSWER: Why not? As long as it works and you have control over the amount of
vacuum, which you certainly do with that method, go for it. A
purpose-made cylinder would probably be more comfortable, though. The
open end of the plastic bottle is likely quite thin and, I would
imagine, uncomfortable against your pubes. If it works and is not dangerous then go for it!! Obviously
you do not need much vacuum if you can suck on the hose and get enought for
an erection. You may also be getting the stimulus from just having the tube
over your penis. Nothing wrong with that. My vacuum pump does not work
that well for me as to getting an erection, but the pumping can be fun
anyway. Many sex shops sell the cylander only. They do not come cheap, but
not overly expensive either. Would probably give you more comfort and would
last longer than the bottle. Whatever, just glad you found something that
works. Have you tried a small amount of vacuum pumping along with Viagra?
